Horseshoe Crabs
Went to Wildwood in New Jersey to see the Atlantic ocean (yeah, most Japanese have never seen it) and found a surprise.
Kabutogani
We call them "Helmet crab".
It was still alive when I picked up and it looked still in good shape.
I'm not sure which part looks more like a horseshoe, top or bottom, maybe both.
Released it in the water. Hope it made it back to the ocean.
There were many tiny guys that did not make it back to the ocean.
